RECOGNIZING REMIGIO SOLER
Remigio Soler Tomás was born in Agres, Alacant, on October 14th, 1897, in a family of labourers. When he was still a child his awakening to art took place, demonstrating artistic skills and in 1915, encouraged by his teacher, he moved with his family to València, to train academically in the plastic and artistic disciplines.
It,s represented like as a artist, painting it is in his origin and inspiration; Agres and Sierra Mariola; it is his Art; painting, Light, Color and Poetry.

HIS ART AS A WAY OF LIFE
Along his life he was a man and an artist hard-natured; he always operate from his deaply emotions, humanity and purity. Versatile Artist, experienced and expert in iconographic and formal codes and of all the methods and technical procedures. He was too a «perfect artist», what we can see in the great quality and spreadins of his works.

As a member of the Valencian Artistic Youth he showed his work in some exhibitions of a collective nature like the one organizated in 1918 in the Valencian University. In 1931, in the Regional Fine Arts Exhibition, he won a bronze medal.
He competed for a prize several times in the National Fine Arts Exhibition. He did by himself some exhibitions in the Mercantil Ateneum (1931), in the Fine Arts Cercle in the Press Valencian Association and in the Lo Rat Penat, in Valencia. Right to the 70´s he showed his art too in exhibition halls in Alacant, Alcoi, Ontinyent, Agullent… places where he left a big amount of his work that moves between the poetry and figuration, the colour, the ligth and the spirit.
